COUNTYWIDE : Mental Health Facility Relocated
The site of a proposed 44-bed mental health facility in Ventura is being moved to avoid environmental problems, county officials have announced.
The $5-million locked facility will be moved across Hillmont Avenue from the Ventura County Medical Center grounds, where it was originally proposed, County Supervisor John K. Flynn said.
Flynn said the move would reduce traffic and parking problems. Construction is scheduled to begin in 90 days.
