Let Me Be Your Music: Orange County will get its own “Phantom of the Operaâ€--in July, 1994--when a new touring company of the hit musical plays at the Performing Arts Center. The Orange County date is on the schedule of a second national touring company that is being announced today in 20 cities where “Phantom†will play minimum four-week engagements over the next three years. The new company has a $10-million budget and will replicate the Broadway production. No casting was announced for the tour, which begins in Seattle in December. “Phantom†has been running in Los Angeles at the Ahmanson since May, 1989.
