Newport Harbor’s Coluccio Picks SMU
Brandon Coluccio, a three-sport standout at Newport Harbor High School, has made an oral commitment to Southern Methodist University and is expected to sign a letter of intent today to play football, ) according to his father, Bob.
Coluccio, a county all-academic selection, started at strong safety and wide receiver for Newport Harbor but is projected as an outside linebacker in college. He caught 43 passes for 488 yards as a senior.
Coluccio is also a standout soccer player who helped Newport Harbor win a co-championship in the Southern Section 1-A playoffs last season. He has been a three-sport letterman in football, soccer and baseball for three seasons.
