U2 Invasion: The Irish rock group U2 will play the Los Angeles Sports Arena on April 12-13 and the San Diego Sports Arena on April 15 as part of a 32-date U.S. and Canadian tour beginning Feb. 29 in Lakeland, Fla. The group--singer Bono Hewson, guitarist the Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen Jr.--hasn’t toured here since 1987. Other California dates are April 17 in Sacramento and April 18 in Oakland. Details on ticket sales have not been announced, but there will be a ticket limit per purchase and in selected cities, including Los Angeles, a system of non-credit card telephone orders will be implemented to circumvent ticket brokers.
