LAS VEGAS — Former heavyweight champion George Foreman will fight Alex Stewart on April 11 in the first boxing card at the 19,500-seat Thomas & Mack Center on the Nevada Las Vegas campus.
Promoter Bob Arum said that Foreman, 44, will receive $5 million for the fight, his second since losing a bid for the heavyweight title last April against Evander Holyfield.
Also on the card, James Toney will defend his middleweight title against Glenn Wolfe.
Foreman has fought only once since losing a 12-round decision to Holyfield, stopping Jimmy Ellis in the third round Dec. 7 in Reno. Foreman’s record is 70-3, with 66 knockouts.
