In Century League girls’ soccer:
Canyon 9, Santa Ana Valley 0--Kim Campbell scored five goals to give her 37 for the season, surpassing her single-season school record. Campbell, a junior, led the county in scoring with 36 her freshman season.
Krista Broughton added two goals for Canyon (12-4-2, 4-0-1).
El Modena 1, Foothill 0--Christina Santucci scored off a corner kick from Brenda Hinrichs with 12 minutes remaining for El Modena (4-5-4, 2-0-3).
Orange 0, Villa Park 0--Villa Park outshot Orange, 20-5, but Orange goalkeeper Rebecca Comstock made 10 saves for her eighth shutout of the season. Orange is 6-6-2, 2-1-2.
In Empire League girls’ soccer:
Los Alamitos 2, Loara 1--Brandi Hayungs scored the winning goal in the final 38 seconds of the match. Kathy Skoglund had nine saves for Los Alamitos (10-4-3, 5-0).
In Orange League girls’ soccer:
Magnolia 2, Western 0--Kristie Clark and Jill Lorton scored in the first half of the match for the Sentinels. Alicia Terrell had seven saves for Magnolia (5-7-2, 1-2-1).
In Pacific Coast League girls’ soccer:
Estancia 7, Costa Mesa 0--Danielle Straub scored three goals for host Estancia (11-2-2, 4-1).
In Sea View League girls’ soccer:
Tustin 2, Corona del Mar 1--Senior Erica Whisler scored the winning goal for Tustin (4-10-1, 2-1-1) midway through the second half. Jami Bickley scored the other goal for the Tillers.
In South Coast League girls’ soccer:
El Toro 0, Mission Viejo 0--The Chargers and Diablos remained tied for first place in league at 4-0-1 after the scoreless match at El Toro. Erin Cora had seven saves for Mission Viejo (12-5-4). El Toro (17-2-1) outshot the Diablos, 12-5.
In Sunset League girls’ soccer:
Marina 1, Fountain Valley 0--Amy Peterson scored with four minutes remaining and Michelle Matus had three saves for Marina (12-1, 3-1). Brandi Coen had four saves for Fountain Valley (9-6-4, 2-2).
Ocean View 0, Edison 0--Lynn Brown had 12 saves in her ninth shutout of the season for Ocean View (9-5-2, 1-2-1). Jennifer Thomas had four saves for Edison (14-4-5, 3-0-1), ranked fourth in Southern Section’s 4-A Division.
In Empire League wrestling:
Esperanza 35, Katella 21--Reza Khayat, ranked No. 2 in Orange County at 160 pounds, defeated No. 3 Peter Blasi, 5-1, to lead Esperanza (6-6, 2-0) to victory.
In Sunset League field hockey:
Edison 2, Marina 0--Stephanie Dean scored in the first half and Lisa Helm in the second as the Chargers (9-0, 9-0-2) remained undefeated.
Santiago 2, Newport Harbor 2 (OT)--Claudia Aguiler scored twice for Santiago and Mara Colaizzi countered with two goals for Newport Harbor.
