BAD LOANS, BAD BLOOD

I was an employee of Great American Bank for 21 years, 16 as administrative assistant to its chief administrative officer, Gordon Luce (“Bad Loans, Bad Blood,” by Steve Salerno, Dec. 8).
I, like many Great American employees, felt privileged to work with Gordon Luce. Hundreds of letters poured in after his resignation stating this sentiment. I have only the utmost admiration for him. Gordon Luce is a class act, and those of us whose lives were touched by him are better for it.
There was an inaccuracy in the article. Kim Fletcher’s wife at the time of the Carnation Corp. incident was his first wife, Joyce, not Marilyn Fletcher.
