Glendale Women Stop Cypress, 54-46

Lisa Bjornberg scored 10 of her game-high 15 points in the second half Friday as Glendale College gradually pulled away from Cypress en route to a 54-46 win in a women’s nonconference basketball game.
Stephanie Ball added 14 points for Glendale (8-11), eight in the second half. Denise Dal Ponte had 10 points and Dora Rubio contributed nine rebounds.
Joan Maurer paced Cypress with 10 points.
