Northridge Batters Division II Visitor

Cal State Northridge posted its first back-to-back victories since January of 1991 with a 92-62 pounding Thursday of Southern Connecticut State, a Division II team from New Haven, Conn.
The Matadors (3-12) beat Ft. Lewis on Tuesday and have won three of their last five games.
Senior captain Keith Gibbs scored a team-high 18 points for his fifth consecutive game in double figures. He also had six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Point guard Andre Chevalier scored 15 points and had seven assists, and center Brian Kilian scored a career-high 12 points and had a season-high eight rebounds.
The Matadors’ largest lead was 68-32 with nine minutes left. Northridge shot 64% in the second half.
The Owls were held to 38% shooting and were led by Jonathan Greenfield with 19 points.
