Woman Dies After New Year’s Eve Crash

A Huntington Beach woman has died of injuries she received in a New Year’s Eve car crash near Pyramid Lake, the California Highway Patrol reported Friday.
Sharyn Deurloo, 29, was pronounced dead Thursday night at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, Officer Mark Fessia said.
Deurloo was driving an estimated 70 to 75 m.p.h. on the Golden State Freeway when she crashed into the rear of a stalled car, suffering major head injuries, Fessia said.
