BEAM ‘EM UP: San Clemente’s Mike Henkoski, above, is leading a group of amateur radio operators on a sky adventure Saturday for their own personal eclipse show. From San Gorgonio Park, they’re sending up a helium balloon carrying a live video transmitter. It will soar to 120,000 feet, high above the cloud cover, and will beam the eclipse (B1) back to their TV screens. . . . “We know it will work; we’ve done it many times before, like looking at the Earth’s curvature,” says Henkoski.
