Two Oxnard men were arrested after they emerged from a parked car with items they stole from the vehicle, Oxnard police said Tuesday.
Demetrio Ortiz, 28, and Rolando Duena, 20, were arrested on suspicion of auto burglary about 9:30 p.m. Monday at a parking lot in the 600 block of South Oxnard Boulevard. The men were spotted looking in the windows of parked cars by an Oxnard officer on his way to another call.
Officer Steven Blanchard responded to the parking lot with his police dog, Lesko. The officer found the men in one of the vehicles and arrested them after they got out, police said.
One of the men had two auto stereos in his possession and the other was holding a plastic bag containing other items believed to have been stolen from the vehicle, police said.
