2 Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide
A 74-year-old Burbank man apparently shot his wife to death and then killed himself on Christmas Day, police said.
The bodies of Lewis and Lois Austin were discovered by one of their grandsons in their apartment in the 600 block of E. Elmwood Street, Burbank Police Detective Eric Rosoff said.
Rosoff said Lois Austin had told a family member that the couple had been fighting the day before Christmas, but police do not know if the disagreement was related to the murder-suicide. “Everyone said they were model neighbors and no one heard any gunshots,†Rosoff said.
