Philadelphia’s 30th Street train station and Amtrak’s busy Northeast corridor were back in operation as if a six-alarm fire that virtually shut down rail traffic Monday night had never happened. The just-finished $100-million, 2 1/2-year renovation was largely intact despite a heavy smell of smoke and a fine film of soot. Fire officials said investigators do not expect to find a cause until at least Thursday for the fire that raged out of control more than four hours.
