A Malaysian court sentenced two men to death by hanging for drug trafficking, the New Straits Times reported Sunday.

Malaysians Mustafa Yop Samsudin, 40, and Ismail Samsuddin, 38, were found guilty Saturday of trafficking in 40 ounces of marijuana in 1987.

Malaysia’s tough drug laws prescribe death for anyone trafficking in more than half an ounce of heroin or more than seven ounces of marijuana.
