Newbury Park 70, Kennedy 56--Marcie James scored 23 points to lead Newbury Park to a first-round Simi Valley tournament win. Kennedy’s Shaneya Harris scored 21 points and Chris Ota added 20.
Hart 61, Alta Loma 26--Shannon Martin scored 22 points to lead Hart to a first-round win in the Simi Valley tournament.
L.A. Baptist 41, Bishop Diego 33--Lori Neville had 14 points and 16 rebounds for L.A Baptist (1-9) in the seventh-place game of the Santa Paula tournament.
Notre Dame 76, Littlerock 41--Shannon McGlothlin scored a game-high 24 points and Araceli Romero added 16 in a nonleague rout of host Littlerock.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Chaminade 80, Workman 48--Pete Huybers had 10 points and 14 rebounds to lead Chaminade (4-5) in a consolation-round game of the Damien tournament.
Canyon 50, Mira Mesa 48--Forward Joe Ferguson had 15 points to lead the Cowboys (5-4) to a nonleague win.
Hoover 71, Norwalk 62--Forward Chad Reese had 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead Hoover (6-3) to third place in the Bosco Tech tournament.
Littlerock 45, Cantwell 44--James Cain scored a game-high 20 points, including two free throws with six seconds left, to lead Littlerock (11-1) in the championship of the Mohave tournament.
San Fernando 71, El Rancho 68 (4 OTs)--Javier Ramos (25 points) hit the front end of a one-and-one to give San Fernando (4-3) a 69-68 lead in quadruple overtime in the consolation final of the La Canada tournament.
Channel Islands 56, Lompoc 48--Noe Noyola scored 24 points, including 16 in the first quarter, to lead Channel Islands (4-2) to the consolation championship of the Dos Pueblos tournament.
Campbell Hall 77, Bishop Montgomery 76 (2 OTs)--Austin McKellar scored 32 points and C.J. Thompkins added 19 to lead Campbell Hall (4-3) in a nonleague game.
Paraclete 71, Rosamond 67--Kevin Scott scored 32 points and Tony Papa had 12 rebounds for Paraclete (6-5) in the final of the Rosamond tournament.
Santa Clara 64, University 41--Isaiah Mustafa scored 21 points to lead Santa Clara (7-2) in a nonleague game.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Arizona State 93, Cal State Northridge 37--The host Sun Devils jumped to a 48-24 halftime lead. Shagarro Lattin scored 14 points for CSUN (0-13).
Ventura 61, Fullerton 32--Corie Herman scored 22 points and Venessa Hackett added 10 for Ventura (10-4) in a semifinal game of the Orange Coast tournament. Ventura led, 37-16, at halftime.
Valley 82, Grossmont 55--Rosa Mendez scored a game-high 22 points to lead Valley (11-2) in a consolation-round game of the Orange Coast tournament.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Antelope Valley 67, Porterville 61--Guard Chris Walters scored 22 points for Antelope Valley (5-8) in the consolation final of the College of Sequoias tournament.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Simi Valley 5, Agoura 1--Amy Hunter scored three goals and Anne Dulcich added two to lead Simi Valley (7-0) to the title of the Simi Valley tournament.
