The estranged wife of Craig Hodges, a guard with the Chicago Bulls, was arrested after she doused him with gasoline outside an elementary school their two sons attend in Northbrook, Ill., authorities said. Hodges, who wasn’t injured, had just dropped off the boys.
Authorities said Carlita Hodges, 30, also threw two matches at Hodges, but they went out before hitting him.
Carlita Hodges, who was charged with aggravated battery and reckless conduct, was released on a $100,000 person recognizance bond, with the condition she stay out of Northbrook, a Chicago suburb. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Dec. 23.
