USC--The name of Fred Stroock, USC’s newly appointed assistant athletic director in charge of academic services, was misspelled in Thursday’s editions.
“They want to try to coordinate all the academic activities that relate to the student-athletes, including issues such as career guidance,” Strook said Wednesday.
USC’s academic services, once part of the Office of Student Affairs, are being integrated within the athletic department. An Academic Resource Center, which Strook will oversee, is being constructed to house the Student-Athlete Academic Services program.
