Holiday Meals Being Served

Several community groups will serve free Christmas breakfasts and dinners to senior citizens and the needy in North County.
Brother Benno’s Kitchen will provide a holiday brunch from 8 to 10 a.m. Christmas Day at their headquarters at 3260 Production Ave., Oceanside. A free bag lunch will also be given to all those who attend the morning meal.
Faith and Love Ministries is serving a holiday dinner to Oceanside, San Marcos and Vista residents at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Christmas Eve, at the Samoan Assn., 400 N. Santa Fe, Vista. No reservations are necessary.
The Brengle Senior Center, 1400 Vale Terrace Drive, Vista, will provide a holiday lunch and entertainment to seniors age 60 years and older beginning at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Christmas Eve. For necessary reservations, call 724-3362 before 3:30 p.m. Monday.
The North County Interfaith Council will hold its traditional holiday turkey meal from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Christmas Day at council headquarters, 430 N. Rose, Escondido.
The Escondido Armory is open from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. nightly and provides shelter and a light meal. It will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas night. The armory is located on Park Avenue off of Broadway in Escondido.
