Moorpark Wrestlers Win State Title for 2nd Year in Row

Moorpark College won its second consecutive state junior college wrestling title Saturday night at West Valley College in Saratoga, Calif.
Moorpark finished with 101 1/4 points, besting runner-up Fresno City (86 1/2).
Valo Barajas, who finished 4-0 in the tournament, won the title at 118 pounds for the lone Raider individual championship.
Moorpark’s John Keever was named the state coach of the year for the second season in a row.
Moorpark’s Neal Mason (158 pounds) and Phil Guerrero (190) were runners-up in their divisions.
