Irvine 22, Dana Hills 11--Jason Minici passed for 216 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Vaqueros to victory in front of 5,000 at Orange Coast College.
Minici completed only 10 of 21 passes but came up with big plays. He had four completions for 25 or more yards.
In the first quarter, Minici threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Danny Kang to give the Vaqueros (12-2) a 7-3 lead. He also threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Jon Peck in the third quarter. Running back Scott Seal, who had 133 yards rushing, clinched the game with a 42-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
