The Cincinnati Reds’ team doctor for the past two years resigned, accusing the club of failing to care for its players adequately.
“At this time, I can’t compromise my commitment to quality sports medicine and care in light of the present management,” Dr. Michael Lawhon said.
Red General Manager Bob Quinn said: “The doctor’s statement is not worthy of comment.”
