OXNARD : City to End Quarter With Budget Surplus
Oxnard’s City Council will end the first quarter of its current budget period with a surplus of $323,935, according to a city report.
Most of the extra funds come from the inadvertent double-budgeting of city projects in two accounts, the report said.
The city budgeted $182,800 for computer replacements and facilities maintenance in two accounts.
Another $144,230 will be added to the general fund as a result of a surplus in the city’s contributions to the California Public Employees Retirement System.
