Gunshot Kills Woman in Struggle With Man

A 27-year-old woman was fatally shot in Panorama City on Thanksgiving, Los Angeles police said.
Shawn Lanette Gaines was shot in the chest during a struggle with a man, said Officer Robert Denton.
The incident occurred early Thanksgiving morning in an apartment in the 8500 block of Willis Avenue, Denton said.
No arrests had been made Thursday in connection with the incident, he said.
