In response to the letter on the slayings by a Chinese college student on an Iowa campus (Nov. 14):
Before we start embracing China as an example of effective gun control laws, we should remember the unarmed demonstrators for democracy who the Chinese government killed in Tian An Men Square. (Could this be the reason the founders of our government wrote the Second Amendment?)
