Regarding your article on Nov. 13 about Oceanside redevelopment (“Disputes Stall Oceanside Redevelopment”). The area in discussion, the South Strand, is referred to as “blighted.” How long has it been since the writer has been to Oceanside? The area is well kept up and faces a beautiful beach, one of the best in any city.
Are we only going to be happy when it is so built up it is hard to move between the beach blankets and the beer cans?
