Oak Park 49, Cathedral 29--Running backs Tarik Smith and Jon Leibe each scored three touchdowns as Oak Park (10-1) ran past Cathedral (8-3). Oak Park will play Valley Christian next week.
Smith (223 yards in 17 carries) scored on runs of 11 yards in the first quarter, 47 yards in the second quarter and returned an interception 28 yards for a score in the third period.
Leibe gained 91 yards in 11 carries, and scored on runs of 15, 17 and seven yards, and also intercepted a pass.
Eagle quarterback Alex Eckert completed three of seven passes for 33 yards, including a nine-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Gibbons with 18 seconds left in the second quarter to give Oak Park a 28-8 halftime lead. Oak Park rolled up 362 yards rushing.
