Golden West Finishes 22-0 in Volleyball

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Golden West College, the top-ranked team in the state, swept Saddleback in an Orange Empire Conference women’s volleyball match Friday to end the regular season undefeated.
Golden West (22-0, 12-0 in conference) won, 15-1, 15-0, 15-4. It was the 66th consecutive conference victory for Golden West, which is coached by Al Gasparian.
Golden West, the defending state champion, has won five consecutive conference championships, going undefeated each time.
