MOORPARK : 3 Held in Undercover Drug Investigation
Three Moorpark men were arrested on suspicion of possessing and selling cocaine after they tried to sell $11,400 worth of the drug to undercover sheriff’s detectives, authorities said Thursday.
The arrests Wednesday evening of Christopher Hernandez, 20, Guadalupe Barron, 25, and Jose Tamayo, 26, came after a two-week undercover investigation by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, Sgt. Gary Pentis said.
The three are being held at the Ventura County Jail on $20,000 bail each, he said.
Pentis said an undercover detective arranged to buy four ounces of cocaine in Thousand Oaks after sheriff’s detectives learned that Hernandez was selling cocaine from his condominium in Moorpark.
The three men were arrested when they delivered drugs to the undercover officer, he said.
Sheriff’s detectives also seized a 1989 Chevrolet Blazer, a 1981 Datsun 200 SX and a 1991 Suzuki GS500 because the vehicles were involved in the drug operation, authorities said.
