NEW REP? Orange County should expect to get one of the two open seats on the California Transportation Commission, insiders say, and they note that a likely choice is Newport Beach’s Christine Diemer, above, of the county’s Building Industry Assn. She’s backed by soon-to-be ex-husband and local transportation official Dana Reed. . . . But there’s also support for Victoria Jaffe, former Mission Viejo city councilwoman, and Irvine’s Pete Inman, a state transportation adviser. The governor is expected to decide soon.
