Magic and Morality

Please give Howard Rosenberg a raise. In all the weeping and wailing about Magic Johnson’s plight, no one seemed to dare to bring up the issue of chastity, abstinence or morality except Rosenberg. He wrote an intelligent and thoughtful article under the title “What’s Missing from News of Johnson’s Plight?” (Nov. 9).

Television has discarded morality and sneers at chastity, so television is boring and predictable for the most part. But we can still enjoy the Los Angeles Times. Hooray for Howard!
