Parade Names Co-Marshal
While native North Americans may well have been treated shabbily over the years by the white man, no disinterested observer can blame Columbus personally for their plight.
It is discouraging then to see the Rose Bowl committee succumb to politically correct pressure in the celebration of Columbus’ feat by naming an Indian as co-marshal. To compound the hypocrisy, this co-marshal has announced he will ride a horse in the parade. I think he should walk as his ancestors did, or at least carry a sign thanking the Spaniards for introducing horses to the new world.
