The City Council voted unanimously Monday to approve an agreement that would allow the Los Angeles Conservation Corps to build the Serro Negro loop trail in Cherry Canyon.
The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, which will supervise and fund the project, has approved the city’s transferring $33,792 from a $72,429 grant it had provided for the Flint Wash Trail.
The project, which should begin in December, will take 10 to 12 corps members an estimated eight weeks to complete, said Bruce Saito, program manager.
