Glendale : Burns Fatal to Elderly Man

A Glendale man who was badly burned when his pajamas caught fire died Friday at County-USC Medical Center, authorities said.
Arnenak Daghbashian, 87, was injured Nov. 4 when his pajamas ignited as he bent over a stove in his apartment in the 600 block of East Maple Street, Glendale Fire Investigator Joe Lopez said. Daghbashian put out the flames by rolling on the living room floor, then getting into a shower, Lopez said.
Daghbashian was hospitalized with burns over 60% of his body and died of heart failure related to his injuries, authorities said.
