Crime Log
The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Nov. 10 and Nov. 17:
Glendale
Boynton Street, 1200 block--A car valued at $8,000 was stolen at gunpoint by two men on Nov. 12.
Hawthorne Street, 400 block--An apartment was burglarized on Nov. 12, and $1,850 in audio cassettes, compact discs and jewelry were stolen.
West Ivy Street, 700 block--A business was burglarized and two sewing machines and a large quantity of clothing valued at $42,460 were stolen on Nov. 12 or 13.
Pioneer Drive, 400 block--Burglars entered a hotel room and stole jewelry and cash valued at $2,130 on Nov. 13.
East Colorado Street, 1500 block--A robber snatched a set of keys from a woman’s hand and then stole her BMW from a parking lot on Nov. 15.
Broadway and San Fernando Road--A man was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint of his wallet, which contained $1,000, on Nov. 16. Another man who came to his aid was shot in the leg by one of the three robbers as they fled in a car.
Los Feliz Road and Central Avenue--Gang members entered a bus on Nov. 17 and robbed a man at knifepoint of a watch, chain and $100 in cash.
Boynton Street, 1200 block--A car was broken into on Nov. 17, and car stereos and cordless phones, valued at between $6,000 and $7,000, were stolen.
La Canada Flintridge
Oakwood Avenue, 5100 block--VCRs, a FAX machine, video cameras and still cameras valued at $6,560 were stolen from a residence on Nov. 10.
Lake View Terrace
Little Tujunga Canyon Road, 13300 block--Burglars cut the lock, entered a semitrailer and stole $2,000 in power tools on Nov. 12.
Little Tujunga Canyon Road, 14800 block--A house trailer was broken into, and a TV, VCR and three guns, valued at $1,550, were stolen on Nov. 16.
Atwater
Drew Street, 3400 block--A woman was thrown against a wall on Nov. 10, and her earrings, valued at $150, were ripped from her ears.
Seneca Avenue, 3700 block--Two men posing as health care agents entered a man’s home and stole $77,500 in money, jewelry and precious metals on Nov. 13.
San Fernando Road, 3000 block--A market’s safe was robbed at gunpoint of $3,000 on Nov. 14.
Verdant Street, 4000 block--Firearms and ammunition, valued at $2,580, were stolen from a home on Nov. 15.
Eagle Rock
Townsend Avenue, 4600 block--A garage was broken into on Nov. 12 or 13, and tools valued at $1,395 were stolen.
North Avenue 56, 1200 block--Three or four shots were fired at two people outside their home on Nov. 14. No injuries.
Echo Park
Montana Street and Echo Park Avenue--A gunman ordered a motorist out of his car and fled in the vehicle on Nov. 10.
Berkeley Avenue, 2000 block--A shot was fired into a bedroom of an apartment on Nov. 10. No injuries.
Hartwick Street, 5100 block--Jewelry, cameras and equipment, valued at $8,980, were stolen from a home on Nov. 15.
Glassell Park
Gassen Place, 3300 block--An apartment was broken into, and money and video equipment, valued at $1,200, were stolen on Nov. 10.
San Fernando Road, 1300 block--Computer equipment and business machines, valued at $3,500, were stolen from a warehouse on Nov. 12 or 13.
Crystal Street, 1300 block--A shot was fired into an inhabited dwelling on Nov. 13. No injuries.
Figueroa Street, 2600 block--A garment factory was broken into on Nov. 16, and equipment, valued at $6,000, was stolen.
Highland Park
North Avenue 46, 1400 block--Pet animals and electronic equipment of an unknown value were stolen from a home on Nov. 10.
Ash Street, 5600 block--A person was tied up by a burglar who stole a TV and jewelry, valued at $750, on Nov. 10.
Figueroa Street and Avenue 59--A man was shot in the foot as he fled from robbers on Nov. 10.
Lincoln Avenue, 5300 block--Money, jewelry and precious metals, valued at $10,320, were stolen in a residential burglary on Nov. 16.
Los Feliz
Hillhurst Avenue and Avocado Street--A person was struck on the head by a robber in a parking facility Nov. 10, and money and jewelry, valued at $2,550, were taken.
Griffith Park Boulevard, 1800 block--Luggage and a radio, valued at $3,030, were stolen from a vehicle on Nov. 10 or 11.
North Vermont Avenue, 1400 block--A drugstore was broken into on Nov. 11 and narcotics and credit cards, valued at $4,000, were stolen.
Hollywood Boulevard, 4800 block--A medical office was burglarized on Nov. 12 or 13, and supplies, equipment and jewelry, valued at $14,469, were stolen.
North Edgemont Street, 1300 block--Money and a radio, valued at $6,160, were stolen from an apartment on Nov. 13.
Hollywood Boulevard, 4600 block--Burglars stole $5,730 in cash from a commercial building on Nov. 13 or 14.
Mt. Washington
North Figueroa Street, 4900 block--An office building was burglarized between Nov. 9 and 11, and computer equipment and business machines, valued at $3,930, were stolen.
North Figueroa Street, 5300 block--A plainclothes vice officer was shot at by gang members on Nov. 14. No injuries.
Silver Lake
Riverside Drive, 2300 block--An apartment was ransacked between Nov. 6 and 11, and $15,000 in clothing, documents and credit cards were stolen.
Ivanhoe Drive, 2600 block--A person was robbed at gunpoint in a carport of $1,200 in money and jewelry on Nov. 13.
Boulevard and Fountain Avenue--A vehicle was stolen at knifepoint on Nov. 15.
