No Tea, Just Coffee: Upscale coffee--uh, cafe --restaurants have been popping up rapidly in Orange County. We’re not talking about the ones that serve Grand Slam breakfasts.

These are restaurants where the focus is on different coffees, served with snacks or light meals. The latest of the genre is Caffe Classico, which is serving coffee and lighter fare at its new restaurant on Birch Street in Brea.

The eatery is one of a chain that opened in San Francisco in 1976 specializing in Italian ice cream. It later was acquired by Baskin-Robbins Inc. (itself a unit of a British conglomerate, Allied-Lyons, U.K.) and moved its headquarters to Brea.
