PALM SPRINGS — The Civil Air Patrol searched Friday for a twin-engine plane with five people aboard that was overdue on a flight from Bullhead City, Ariz., to Fullerton, Calif., authorities said.
The plane took off Thursday and was due at Fullerton Municipal Airport by 4 p.m., said CAP Lt. Col. Ed Crankshaw. No flight plan was filed for the Cessna 336 Skymaster.
A CAP search base was set up at Palm Springs Airport and a dozen planes flew grid searches Friday. The Cessna was described as white with blue trim.
