Reforming Workers’ Comp

Thank you for calling attention to such a critical issue facing California business. Being a farmer I don’t have the ability to move out of state like other employers. I am stuck with this lousy, corrupt system.
It is a sad day when the Applicant Attorneys Assn. has more influence in Sacramento than business and labor combined. What does that tell you about our state Legislature?
Our produce-farming company pays 10% of our payroll for workers’ comp insurance, more than three times the state average. Farmers are struggling to make a living while those lawyers abusing the system are making a killing. Our state government needs to realize that a healthy business environment is in the best interest of business and labor.
