Twins, World Series Were Tough to Beat
The rosters of the teams in the World Series were loaded with players who paid hard dues in the minor leagues over a number of years. They played with hunger and excitement. The Dodgers and Angels, on the other hand, are loaded with overpaid fat cats who alibi, are injury-prone, whine at umpires and maintain sour demeanors while playing the game as if doing the fans a favor.
Three cheers for the truly humble, underpaid, long-suffering minor leaguer getting his shot and doing it.
