Last add Monarchs: Mater Dei running back Chris Ruperto, who suffered a sprained ankle against Servite, is expected to play Saturday against Loyola.
Ruperto, a senior, is an intricate part of the Monarch offense, scoring 10 touchdowns. He also is the team’s leading rusher with 378 yards and has caught 21 passes for 545 yards.
Coach Bruce Rollinson said Ruperto would sit out practice early in the week, but he expected him to be ready by Saturday.
