Man Fatally Wounded Outside Delicatessen
A man was shot and fatally wounded by two attackers outside a Northridge delicatessen Monday afternoon, police said.
Officers found the victim, wounded in the upper body, about 1:30 p.m. outside Brent’s Delicatessen & Restaurant in the 19500 block of Parthenia Street, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Ed Wheelis said.
The victim, who was in his mid-20s, was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center and pronounced dead shortly after 2 p.m.
Wheelis said homicide detectives are seeking two men who fled after the incident.
He described one as a 6-foot, 1-inch black male of medium build, wearing dark clothing. The gunman was a 5-foot, 9-inch black male between 30 and 35, heavyset, wearing black clothing, who was last seen running east, Wheelis said.
