COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Crompton Gives Fullerton a Soccer Victory

Henry Crompton scored with about 10 minutes remaining to give Fullerton a 1-0 victory over Irvine Valley in an Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer game Tuesday at Fullerton.

It was the 10th goal of the season for Crompton. Fernando Santizo had six saves for Fullerton (7-3-3, 2-2 in conference). Irvine Valley is 8-2-2, 3-2.

In other Orange Empire men’s soccer:

Orange Coast 2, Riverside 2--Brian Slayback and Ali Mossadeghi scored for visiting Orange Coast (6-3-6, 3-0-2).

Rancho Santiago 3, Golden West 2--Omar Vazquez broke a 2-2 tie with 10 minutes left for Rancho Santiago at Golden West. Gustavo Plasencia and Justin Zayas also scored for Rancho Santiago. Fred McCollum and Scott Bauer had Golden West’s goals.

In Orange Empire Conference women’s soccer:

Orange Coast 3, Irvine Valley 1--Dominique Dalton, Trina Williams and Sam Lutsch each scored as host Orange Coast improved to 4-5-2, 2-1-1. Kymm Maniscalco had the goal for Irvine Valley, which remained winless at 0-8, 0-4.

In Orange Empire Conference water polo:

Rancho Santiago 12, San Diego Mesa 11 (sudden death)--John Thonn scored the game-winning goal with 1:47 remaining in the sudden-death period for visiting Rancho Santiago (9-13, 1-2). Adolfo Ramirez scored with 29 seconds remaining in the second half of overtime to send the game to sudden death. Jeremy Stuart had three goals for Rancho Santiago.

Orange Coast 17, Palomar 8--Ian Condon and Rob Worthing each scored three goals as the visiting Pirates (18-3, 4-0) won their eighth consecutive game.
