Dallas Maverick forward Roy Tarpley was given a drug test Tuesday by ASAP, the administrative arm of the NBA’s anti-drug and alcohol program, team officials said. A positive test for cocaine or heroin would result in his suspension from the league for at least two years. There was no immediate word on when the results of the tests, which are not made public, will be known.
