Play Dates: Cats are said to have nine lives, but Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical “Cats” will go that one better when it makes its 10th Los Angeles area appearance Nov. 12-24 at the Shubert Theatre. On Monday, incidentally, the New York production marks its ninth anniversary and is Broadway’s current long-run champion. . . . Pasadena Playhouse has confirmed Stacy Keach as the star of Rupert Holmes’ new thriller “Solitary Confinement,” which will have its world premiere at the theater next month. Performances begin Nov. 15, with Nov. 24 as the official opening. Kenneth Frankel directs.
