Supervisor Hahn Returns Home From Hospital
Los Angeles County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn was back home Wednesday after an overnight stay at Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital, where he underwent minor surgery for his prostate condition. “He’s doing fine,†said Hahn’s chief deputy, Mas Fukai. “He’s in good spirits and ready to come back to work.â€
The 71-year-old, 10-term supervisor underwent a routine follow-up exam and 15-minute surgical procedure in which doctors removed scar tissue, Fukai said. Hahn had prostate surgery three years ago. Hahn, who suffered a stroke in 1987 that left him partially paralyzed, has been hospitalized a couple of times in the last year. The first instance was for what aides said was a bout with the flu, and in the second case for what his doctor said was “probably indigestion.â€
