Uncut Russell Film: Ken Russell’s new movie about the harsh realities of prostitution opens Friday with an NC-17 rating--meaning no children under 17 will be admitted, according to distributor Trimark Pictures. Trimark said that “to honor Ken Russell’s vision†of “Whore,†it would not make the cuts required by the motion picture industry ratings board for a less-restrictive R rating. Trimark earlier this month lost an appeal for a change in “Whore’s†rating.
