COUNTYWIDE : 2 Firms Recognized for Helping Families

The October issue of Working Mother magazine includes two Ventura County companies in its list of 85 firms nationwide that provide “family friendly” benefits.
In its sixth annual survey of the best companies for working mothers, the magazine names Patagonia, the Ventura firm that designs and sells outdoor wear, and G. T. Water Products Inc., a Moorpark company that manufactures plumbing products.
For the second year in a row, the magazine named Patagonia among the top 10 companies partly because of its nationally recognized child-care center. G. T. Water Products was picked mainly because of its on-site Montessori school for employees’ children.
The magazine rated the companies on opportunities for women, support for child care, and other family-related benefits.
