ROUNDUP : Northridge Women Romp in Volleyball

Nancy Nicholls had 11 kills and 11 digs as Cal State Northridge defeated visiting Cal State Bakersfield, 15-10, 15-9, 15-6, in a women’s nonconference volleyball match Friday.
Dawn Krenik, Missy Clements and Karen Scholl each added eight kills for Northridge (5-4), which won its third consecutive match.
Rachel Morton had 15 kills for Bakersfield, the 1989 NCAA Division II champion.
MEN’S WATER POLO
Valley College defeated Palomar, 14-7, and tied Mt. San Antonio, 9-9, to advance to today’s winners’ round in the Mt. SAC water polo tournament.
Robert Brown was Valley’s high scorer in both matches with three goals against Palomar and five goals against Mt. SAC. Robert Martin also scored three goals against Palomar.
Valley (3-1-3) will play De Anza at 1 p.m. today.
BOYS’ WATER POLO
Jim Toring scored seven goals as Harvard-Westlake High defeated Santa Monica, 13-7, in an opener at Harvard.
Ryan Salcada scored three goals for Harvard and teammate Lance Weidner added two.
