SEAL BEACH : Council District Lines to Be Studied
The City Council has formed a committee to review council district boundaries for possible redistricting.
The committee, made up of one member from each of the five districts, along with five alternates, will use the census data to come up with several recommendations for new boundaries, council members said.
Appointees to the committee are: Betty Cheevers, George Brown, Gordon Shanks, Mark Soukup and Dorothy Whyte. The alternates are: Michael Goldenberg, Charles Antos and Tom Ross. Council members Gwen Forsythe and William J. Doane have yet to appoint alternates.
The committee has until late October to make its recommendations to enable the council to act by November, Mayor Frank Laszlo said.
