The Royal Ballet, which concluded its U.S. tour Sunday at the Orange County Performing Arts Center, took in $1,020,194 at the box office, the highest gross for any seven-performance week of ballet at the Center, a spokesman said Monday. Total attendance was 19,620, paid attendance for the run averaged 93.2.% of capacity and all five performances of “Swan Lake†were sold out, the spokesman said.

Orange County artists may submit proposals for a mural competition sponsored by the Social and Public Arts Resource Center of Los Angeles, which will commission 10 murals to be painted in Los Angeles for its 1991-92 murals program. Artists will receive funding, materials, scaffolding, youth assistants and technical support. SPARC’s Neighborhood Pride: Great Walls Unlimited Murals Program has produced 36 murals throughout Los Angeles. Preference will be given to Los Angeles artists. Women and minority artists are encouraged to apply. Deadline for submissions is Sept. 6. Information: (213) 822-9560.
